So apparently graphic tees are totally making a comeback. I normally am not a graphic tee kinda gal, I much prefer solid colors or patterns. But, when I saw this one at Jcrew last weekend I decided to spring for it (and it happened to be on sale so why not!?) It was the perfect way to dress down an otherwise stuffy workweek look. The "Ah Ha" print is abstract enough that it kind of just looks like art (plus it reminds you to laugh a little during the day) and I loved the metallic details. I paired it with some cropped tuxedo inspired pants for a more laid-back work look. I am lucky enough to work at a school that is pretty casual otherwise this top might work better for casual Friday. I have tagged some other great graphic tees at the bottom for your shopping pleasure! Happy (almost) weekend!

So I have recently been made aware that you can become a seat filler at the Oscars (uhhm pick me, pick me!) I swear next year I WILL be at the Oscars. Ok well, don't hold me to that because you'll probably find me snuggled up on my couch drink in hand again, but a girl can dream right? So I thought today I'd share with you my 3 favorite looks from the Red Carpet. There were so many that I absolutely loved and would totally give my first unborn child for, but I stick with my top 3.
I just love this look. The champagne color is absolutely perfect on her skin and that dress. I mean seriously, it fits like a glove and makes her body look ah-mazing! The cross ruching throughout the waist area makes fore a stunner. The statement necklace, was neutral and had just enough sparkle to make it Oscar-worthy. Perfection.
Felicity Jones looked like a princess. I loved the architectural detail of the bodice with all the little pearls and flowers. The worrier-like neckline added just enough edge to make it modern. I know the Fashion Police were fighting over whether she should have gone with a lip, but I loved the neutral color, it made the dress really stand out!
So I guess I am really feeling the neutral colors lately. But I adore this dress. Not that JLo could ever look bad, but this is beautiful. I love all the crystal detail and the big ball gown skirt. The deep plunging neckline makes it just enough sexy. I would not mind looking like this on the Red Carpet. This is quite the moment and she looked like absolute royalty.

I am super excited to be teaming up with some wonderful bloggers and shops to participate in my first giveaway and bring you these great items! We finally got our first real snow day in St. Louis this winter (too bad we were already off of school for Presidents Day, I've been crossing my fingers for a snow day all year). I spent most of the day lounging around the house, catching up on my DVR, eating pizza, and snuggling with some hot tea. However, I did make it out of the house for a little while and cozied up in this blanket scarf from Old Navy. I love the idea of mixing prints! I don't do it super often because sometimes I do find it a bit busy, but stripes and plaid are probably the two easiest prints to mix together! Everyone should have a blue and white striped top in their wardrobe, if you don't already I highly recommend getting one ASAP. Top it off with a grey boyfriend sweater and you are good to go! Stay warm loves!
